Girls Weekend 2011

We have a family tradition of going out to conference on the year you turn 12. This year was Elly's turn and we went to the Young Women's Broadcast at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City. Our first day at Grandma Jackie's there was a lot of snow. Here it is just starting to snow.
We also did a lot of shopping. Bailee and Elly tried on the highest heels they could find in Target.
We went ice skating at the Ice sheet at Weber State with Tayler and Abby on Friday.
On Saturday, Grandma Williams came and got us and took us to the Bountiful Temple to do baptisms. After that we went to Seagull Book for some Downeast bargains and free totes. Then as pictured above we went to the Overstock .com store to look around.
For lunch we went to the Mayan- a Mexican restaurant that has cliff divers.
Inside the Mayan. It was so much fun and good food, too.
Elly and Grandma enjoying the show.
Then we checked into out hotel room and got on Traxx and rode up to Temple Square and first stopped at the Church History Museum.
Bailee, Elly and Grandma at the Prophet exhibit. Elly found it necessary to give us a talk.
In front of the flags at Temple Square. Notice the Large umbrella that Elly is carrying. It was her cane because she suddenly came down with the horrible disease of "Jet Leg". She also used it to pretend that she was blind as we walked around.
Inside Desert Book, the daffodils were gorgeous.
We met up with Jo, Abby and Tayler for the rest of the night and the YW broadcast.
The Girls outside the Conference Center. It was amazing how many girls were there. Before the broadcast started. There were 21,000 girls there. It was so awesome to see the prophet and General YW presidency. After the broadcast we went to Chillis after a search for the Training Tale which is no longer. tear.... On Sunday morning, we went to see the Mormon Tabernacle choir broadcast. It was wonderful. They also had the BYU choir singing with them. After the broadcast we went back to Little America for the delicious buffet and the to the airport. We wish we could have stayed longer- We had a terrific trip and definitely felt the Spirit many times.

Winter 2011

Our Winter was filled with a lot of things. Everyone played basketball. Bailee played on the Terre Haute South team, Elly was on the 6th grade Honey Creek team and Braden and Peyton played on a team together. Elly's team Played for the county championship and lost by one point in overtime.
We spent many days at the children's museum. Here is Rowen and Archie who love to go when all the kids are in school.

They love to dig for dinasours.
One day we went shopping and the boys found some chairs to relax in.
The boys of the pinewood derby. Peyton won this year and Braden was 3rd. We had another fun year.
Here are the cars Braden painted his white and Peyton did it in purple. We had a blast watching the ISU team play especially on this day they played UNI.

March Celebrations

We have a lot of things to celebrate in March. First was Braden's birthday. He had his friends over for a Beyblade party. They had a blast and Elly found joy in tormenting the friends. Braden's cake was a Beyblade arena. Braden loved his nerf gun and it is so much fun finding amo all over the house.
Biff had a great time celebrating his 40th b-day. He had a surprise party at work and got an awesome watch from his co-workers.
One night we took Bailee to a dance and came home to find our room decorated by our kids for our 18th Wedding anniversary.
There were even balloons and signs all over. It was GREAT!!! They covered our door in streamers. Our kids are so thoughtful and I have to remember these moments.

Winter-SNOW and ICE- 2011

The first week of Feruary gave us A LOT of ice and snow. We were actually snowed in for 3 days. School was cancelled for 5 days and even church was cancelled. Here are the kids climbing up the drive way as it was too slick to walk up.
Then they would slide down on their bellies. They looked like a bunch of penguins.

They did have fun and it was a great break from life to all be home together for a bunch of days.

Elly 12?

It is hard to believe that Elly is already 12. She is becoming a beautiful, inteligent and talented Young Woman. We love Ellly in our family and she makes it a lot of fun. Her cake was covered in marshmallow fondant and actually tasted quite good. It was a little messy to make but fun, too. Grandma Price was here for her birthday as Biff and I left for Florida on January 12th.
