We have a family tradition of going out to conference on the year you turn 12. This year was Elly's turn and we went to the Young Women's Broadcast at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City. Our first day at Grandma Jackie's there was a lot of snow. Here it is just starting to snow.
We also did a lot of shopping. Bailee and Elly tried on the highest heels they could find in Target.
We went ice skating at the Ice sheet at Weber State with Tayler and Abby on Friday.
On Saturday, Grandma Williams came and got us and took us to the Bountiful Temple to do baptisms. After that we went to Seagull Book for some Downeast bargains and free totes. Then as pictured above we went to the Overstock .com store to look around.
For lunch we went to the Mayan- a Mexican restaurant that has cliff divers.
Inside the Mayan. It was so much fun and good food, too.
Elly and Grandma enjoying the show.
Then we checked into out hotel room and got on Traxx and rode up to Temple Square and first stopped at the Church History Museum.
Bailee, Elly and Grandma at the Prophet exhibit. Elly found it necessary to give us a talk.
In front of the flags at Temple Square. Notice the Large umbrella that Elly is carrying. It was her cane because she suddenly came down with the horrible disease of "Jet Leg". She also used it to pretend that she was blind as we walked around.
Inside Desert Book, the daffodils were gorgeous.
We met up with Jo, Abby and Tayler for the rest of the night and the YW broadcast.
The Girls outside the Conference Center. It was amazing how many girls were there.
Before the broadcast started. There were 21,000 girls there. It was so awesome to see the prophet and General YW presidency.
After the broadcast we went to Chillis after a search for the Training Tale which is no longer. tear....
On Sunday morning, we went to see the Mormon Tabernacle choir broadcast. It was wonderful. They also had the BYU choir singing with them.
After the broadcast we went back to Little America for the delicious buffet and the to the airport. We wish we could have stayed longer- We had a terrific trip and definitely felt the Spirit many times.
